-거들랑2
-거들랑②: You Should Know… — Ending That Informs
Ending: you should know… — telling the listener something they do not know.
How to form it
| When | Form | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Verb / adjective stem as ending | -거들랑 | 오거들랑 / 바쁘거들랑 / 모르거들랑 |
| Informing sequel implied | …거들랑. | 내일 비가 오거들랑. / 그 집은 멀거들랑. |
-거들랑② ends by informing — just so you know….
Same family as connective -거들랑①. Different job. Write them apart.
Why this is hard
One shape, two seats. 오거들랑 말해 (if you come, tell me) is not 내일 오거들랑 (FYI — I’m coming tomorrow). Learners mash both into “condition.”
What it does
내일 비가 오거들랑.
그 길은 막히거들랑.
나는 내일 바쁘거들랑.
그 사람 이미 알았거들랑.
The line often stops. The point is giving the listener the fact.
Forms
Stem + -거들랑 as a sentence end, not as a hinge into a command.
오다 → 오거들랑.
바쁘다 → 바쁘거들랑.
막히다 → 막히거들랑.
When not to use it
Do not use this page when a condition opens advice — -거들랑①.
Do not use it as soft if alone — -(으)면.
Do not invent noun+거들랑 as a free particle.
Neighbours — and why they differ
