-게4
-게④: Mind You / See Here — Drawing Attention Back
Ending: mind you / see here — drawing the point back into view.
How to form it
| When | Form | Example |
|---|---|---|
| As attention / reminder ending | -게 | 그렇지 않게 / 말이야게 (family colour) |
| Classroom anchor phrases | …게. | 내가 말했게. / 그게 아니게. |
-게④ draws attention back — mind you / see here.
Curriculum sense: 환기. Not manner. Not 하게 command -게③. PLAN: 각각 쓴다.
Why this is hard
Three -게 seats fight: adverbial, command ③, attention ④. Learners pick one and quit. This page’s job is reminding / pulling the point into view, not ordering dinner manner.
What it does
The ending colours the line as a nudge: remember this / look here / that’s not it.
그게 아니게.
내가 이미 말했게.
그렇게 쉽게 끝나게.
조심해야 하게.
Tone: attention, not bare do it.
Forms
Surface -게 again — job is 환기 ending. Prefer reminder/attention readings over manner or bare command.
When not to use it
Do not use it as manner — -게.
Do not use it as 하게 order — -게③.
Do not invent every colloquial 게 tag as this curriculum slot.
Neighbours — and why they differ

| -게 | Manner adverb. |
| -게③ | 하게체 command. |
| -네 | Discovery/exclamation. |
Ask: am I pulling attention back? If yes, -게④. If order, -게③. If manner, adverbial.
