Beside plain 에
(장소)에 에 already marks location. 에다가 often feels like focusing the landing spot or the thing being added to. In many lines both are acceptable; this unit trains the 에다가 shape for placement and topping-up talk.
Delivery-unit flavour
Ordering and kitchen talk: A에다가 B 추가해 주세요. That is the “added onto” reading in everyday use.

Common questions
Can I just use 에?
Often yes for location. 에다가 can feel a bit more like 'onto / into that spot' or 'adding onto.' [[g:e-place]] covers bare 에.
Is 에다 the same?
You will hear shorter 에다 in speech. Learn 에다가 as the clear classroom form.
Addition vs location?
Dictionary lists both a location sense and an 'added-to' sense. Delivery and recipe talk use the adding feel a lot: A에다가 B를 넣다.
Same as 도?
No. [[g:do]] means 'also.' 에다가 marks where/onto which something goes.
